Grenadines Leg Two

Next leg is from TVSB (Bequia) to TVSM (Mustique).

Runway 12 TVSB

This leg is a very short hop. Up in the air and then back down again. All the while prepping your mind for the landing at TVSM.

The runway at TVSM is short at a touch over 2'500ft and sloped at both ends. Certified for STOL aircraft only. Like landing in a bowl.

Short final TVSM

The BN2 wants to stay in the air with full flaps. She floats on her own. In all honesty she feels like a Cessna 172! You really have to flare to get her to touch down. And once she is down she stops on a dime.

Down at TVSM

Traffic is very light here as I only have the FT traffic running and no custom AI like I do for FS9.

Taxi off, see the slope?

Again we do a short turn around. Enough time to add some log entry. And open/close the doors and we start her up again.

Leg time was 11 minutes

Off to TVSU (Union Island) next.

That sloped runway rocks!! It must be a challenge to nail the landing.

Yes, kind of strange at that one as it is sloped at both ends. Not sure where to go really.

I can't enough of looking at it... Looks awesome with that STOL marking.

It is one area where FSX has a big advantage over FS9. Sloped runways. Also the bigger texture res in FSX makes things look much sharper, the photo scenery, repaints and even cockpit panels and gagues.

Next I may fly into Corchevel!!

Do you know if TVSM was the airport featured in Extreme Airports? I must get down there and try this one. Great blog.
